FIFA 22: Van Persie, Casillas and Cafú confirmed as new icons

FIFA 22 Ultimate Team (FUT) equips four former soccer stars with strong icon cards: Robin Van Persie, Iker Casillas and Cafú have already been confirmed.

In FIFA 21, the number of icon objects has been increased to 101, and a quartet will be added in FIFA 22. The striker Robin van Persie (87, 89, 91) terrorized the defensive in Europe with his shooting skills and ended his career as the record scorer of the Dutch national team. The opposite pole is Iker Casillas (87, 89, 92): "San Iker" led Real Madrid as captain and goalkeeper through one of the most successful phases in the club's history.

The third in the league is the Brazilian defensive legend Cafú (88, 90, 93), who played in three finals of the World Cup and won the title twice - at the end of his career he was the record holder of the Brazilian national team with 142 appearances. EA still wants to keep the fourth icon in the backhand, there are currently no indications of the identity of the honored actor - but the arrangement of the icons suggests an overall rating of 94 points for the Prime version. As in the previous season, each Icon will initially appear in three variants, which depict different phases of their careers and whose overall ratings have already been revealed for the newbies. In all likelihood, they will be supplemented by the Moments variant in the course of FUT 22.

In addition to the unveiling of the "Icon Class of 22", EA SPORTS delivered four Ones to Watch (OTW) players from the Premier League at the weekend as well as the announcement of the start of the rating reveal on Monday.
